S'wheat! Chocolate Chip Cookies

I did not name these. If I had, they would be called, "You are somewhat justified in your desire to eat 6 of these in one sitting because they have whole-wheat in them and are therefore somewhat healthy". Well, now that I think about it, it's better that I didn't name these.
Short and s'wheat is the way to go. (har-har)

On with the recipe for the best chocolate chip cookie I've ever made! Seriously. If I start my own cookie business, this would be the chocolate chip cookie that I sell out of on a regular basis.
S'Wheat! Chocolate Chip Cookies
Adapted From a Wild Oats recipe

1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, softened
3/4 cup brown sugar
3/4 cup sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 1/4 cup unbleached all purpose flour
1 cup whole-wheat flour
1 tbs ground flax seed (optional-but if you have it, use it!)
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp salt
12 oz. chocolate chips (I prefer semi-sweet)

Preheat oven to 350. Cream together butter and sugars until light and fluffy (about 2 minutes). Add eggs and vanilla, stir to mix. In another bowl, sift together flours, ground flax seed (if using), baking soda, and salt. Fold into butter mixture. Fold in chocolate chips. Drop rounded spoonfuls of batter onto nonstick cookie sheets. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until golden brown. Remove from pan and allow to cool on a wire rack.

Makes 6 dozen (but not in my house- I make GOOD sized cookies and get about 3 dozen!)
