I learned to cook by waking up early on Saturday mornings when I was little to watch Martha Stewart and watching Food Network for about a year before I got married. Rachael, Ina, Giada, and Alton taught me techniques that gave me confidence in the kitchen.
I love to try new recipes (and do, on a weekly basis), love to make them my own, love to fudge them to make them more kid-friendly, and love to break the cardinal rule "Don't serve anything for a dinner party/baby shower/gathering that you haven't made before."
I used to believe that you could either be a cook or a baker, but I'm both, so I no longer believe that. My mouth is filled with sweet teeth and savory teeth alike.
The recipes I share here and pretty simple and straightforward. I hope you'll find something you enjoy.
